===== Seventy 48 Tracking ===== **Nicholas Cryder** \\ 06/11/18 #23194 Thought i'd start a thread as this beast unfolds tonight… At 6:38pm it looks like the leaders are approaching the first turn marker, and our locals are all well positioned for a good run tonight. The tracker is kinda spotty (pun intended!), so frequent refreshes are a must for updates. [[http://tracker.seventy48.com/|http://tracker.seventy48.com/]] GO WHATCOM TEAMS! **allipp@…** \\ 06/11/18 #23195 It looks like Heather and Tracy's tracker went down. It has shown them in the same position for quite some time now. **allipp@…** \\ 06/11/18 #23196 OK it looks like their tracker came back on. **Dean Bumstead** \\ 06/11/18 #23197 Boats report at 10 minute intervals and the map updates every few minutes automatically.\\ \\ **Rick Lingbloom** \\ 06/11/18 #23198 What are the team names of our local people?\\ Rick **Nicholas Cryder** \\ 06/11/18 #23199 Wow, looks like Heather and Tracy are within eyesight of the leaders and still solidly in the hunt. #badassery Nicholas Cryder **Kimberly Reeves** \\ 06/11/18 #23201 I can’t separate the teams on tracker…any advice would be welcomed!\\ Kim **Julie Van Dooren** 06/11/18 #23203 Try the zoom! **Paul Reavley** \\ 06/11/18 #23204 Looking at Ventusky - if accurate - the folks in the lead may have to deal with higher headwinds in the Kingston to Hansville stretch than later boats. On the other hand - the wave direction (if I read it correctly which I am not at all sure of) may be better for the first boats that go through that stretch? **Nicholas Cryder** \\ 06/11/18 #23208 Well I am two wine glasses into this evening and stoked to see our local thrashers laying down the heat. Now imagine what it feels like to see the sun go down, the light fade and you're paddling in total darkness for the next 30.. plus… miles… So wish I could be in Port Townsend to welcome these crews in. **bill** 06/11/18 #23209 Looks like everyone’s trackers are updating at different times making it look like a game of leap frog. **Nicholas Cryder** 06/11/18 #23210 If i'm not leap froggin crazy, looks like Olney and Barton are in the LEAADDDD!!!!! **josh dyck** 06/11/18 #23211 By now you may be at three glasses of wine….but yes, Olney and Barton are out front! And way to go Mama’s, 5th overall at the moment! Josh **Nicholas Cryder** 06/11/18 #23212 Josh, I don't count a fine single malt scotch as wine. You know that. Nicholas Cryder **Eric Grossman** \\ 06/11/18 #23213 hows a guy to sleep tonight with all this action! Go Bhamsters, Ernie and gang, and way to go Way Too Close! These guys pulled across the Atlantic in record time, can they pull it out this time? Greg and Kevin back in the water hearing these guys breathe up their backs. **paul clement** 06/11/18 #23214 We have been following from the start and cheering when we can. I am caravaning with Justine Barton and Knut Landboe. Kevin and Greg did make a move at the South end of Bainbridge. So far it is sticking.they look to have eliminated the 2X shell but the 6 man is still in striking distance. Heather and Tracy are KILLING it. We are at now Point No Point where they will pass close by. We’ll give them a shout. The Whatcom Paddlers Posse is hunkered down at Marrowstone Bridge and we’ll join them there for a rousing send in.\\ paul **Kirk Christensen** 06/12/18 #23215 Kevin and Greg taking a quick pit stop at Point no Point with about a 1 Km lead. **Dennis Mowry** \\ 06/12/18 #23216 Another shot at Pt No Pt, their legs seemed a little wobbly but doing fine. Kevin put on a jacket. Had a pretty good least with 6×600 coming next. Waiting now at the Marrowstone Bridge, about have way from where they are to the finish. Looks like Heather and Tracy fell back a few places but still strong.\\ :D'Mowry
