"I lived in Singapore from 1989 to 1993. No outriggers or SUPs back then. I had to go out to east Coast Park to rent sit inside kayaks to get in an on water workout. Absolutely fantastic downwind conditions along that stretch during the NE monsoons which occur yearly in December through February. Downwind races should be held along that coast from Changi to the harbor. Better yet, a downwind race from Tioman Island to Mersing just across the border in Malaysia!"

(Others have commented that the boat traffic in the harbor could be a major impediment to any downwinding there)
