===== A Tale of Two Larrys ===== **team names\\ Reivers Dustin** \\ 04/04/17 #20975 In times of old we used to kid each other quite a bit. I know, this is a family message board and now we are all much too mature for such tom-foolery. But let's just pretend that we are not. So just faking it here as if we were feckless knuckleheads. I would like to get ideas for a team name for two of our best beloved members. Here's the deal. Rumor has it that the Larry's are going to double-ski on the Indian Arm race this year. Naturally I think they'll make a lovely couple. For maybe half the race. Then they'll start talking about paddling with others and trial separation and who gets the dog, etc. But of course we should all go along with the romance of the season. For background it was one of the larry's who named "Team 205". They were the golden couple of several seasons: Marc W. and Rick L. It seems whenever he would ask one of them a question they would answer "205". Originally he wanted to know if they lengthened their paddle when in the double. You know, "What's your paddle length?". But then maybe they didn't hear so good. "How much does your boat weigh?", "How did you place in that race?", "How long is your ...?" "How many races have you two done?" etc. Anyone (besides the Larry's) got any ideas on this? uh, should they get to pick their own name? I dunno, I'm just throwing lit matches around the campfire here. WhaddyaSay? rd **allipp01** \\ 04/05/17 #20976 Larry B and G.......how about the LarraBee Gees? **duncanhowat** \\ 04/05/17 #20979 Larrie- mar-Gold ? **Larry Bussinger** \\ 04/05/17 #20980 This sounds like fun, so I’m going to pretend I don’t have a stake in the outcome. How about Larry2 or Square Larr’s. Larry B **Rick Lingbloom** \\ 04/05/17 #20982 FYI ... listen Larry's, it's not like YOU actually have a say in what your assigned team name will be! From my experience, someone else chooses. BTW ... I miss the 'Team 205' days. Back then we were pretty much the only ones consistently paddling a double and as a result I was able to keep up with most of you. Oh well, like I've always said, "the older I get, the better I was."
