| - | I saw a big ole California Sea Lion sitting out on the number two buoy this evening during an early evening paddle. We usually only see the harbor seals around these parts, sea lions less commonly, but I once saw an elephant seal in the water in Hale’s Passage. That was quite a shock. When I got home I took a look at the new web cam and I could still see it (the sea lion) out there (Image embedded here I think), although there’s no way to tell from the picture without ground truthing. Keep an eye out, they usually hang around for a few days. | + | I saw a big ole California Sea Lion sitting out on the number two buoy this evening during an early evening paddle. | + | Great day for a downwind paddle........Plus the added surprise of finding the sea lion sitting atop the swaying Post Point buoy...I would guess it weighs over 1000 lbs. Amazing! | ||
