| - | With the strong south winds and the State parks closed on the Saratoga passage side of Camano, I opted for a downwind paddle on the Port Susan side of the island this morning. Jill dropped me at Tyee Beach and picked me up at Cavalero boat ramp. | ||

| - | The tide was dumping out, and ohh boy the current was strong, stacking up against the wind waves, and must I say Gorge like! The Port Susan Bay has a large round top portion and narrows considerably down to the south which increases the flow velocity as it constricts. A couple sections, especially as I approached points the current was ripping around, really reminded me of Swell City and the Hatchery! | ||
