| The man in this Story is Brian Oliver, one of my retired partners, who was test driving a new boat with a mechanic. They were reluctant to go because the weather was bad and while out in the bay drove past an unusual log. He turned around to check it out and saw that the "log" was an overturned kayak and adjacent to it was a man in his life jacket. They got him on board and though he could barely talk he was able to tell them he had kept trying to get in his kayak but couldn't and had given up.
