 Saying that these were the worst conditions I’ve paddled in would not be an exaggeration. As we headed north, the waves became bigger breaking waves, ama side, from the west that kept pushing us inside. Then, if things couldn’t get better, we got hammered by a high wind squall outta the north. High winds, hail and haystacks had us thinking about tucking behind Chuck Island and waiting out the storm…that woulda been the smart move. -We continued heading back to the barn, hitting huge rebound from the wall and being continually pushed to the east.
