I got a heads up that Jonas races at 1:00am Friday (according to his Dad).

Added two photos of Bellinghampster subdued excitement about the whole thing.

Thanks everyone! Your support means the world!

Slight typo, Race 113 is U23 MK1 200m ( Not 1000m)

For those not up in the middle of the night . . .

You can see Jonas take 3rd in his first heat at this link, at minute 1:51:50 or so

And Aaron Small and his partner take third in their K2 double at 4:22

It worked for me, anyway. It’s a bit complicated with the live stream and the recordings.

Great work, guys!

It must be a typo in times reported for Aron Small and Jasper Caddell. They had time of 3:37 in second heat and directly qualified for the final A. Huge accomplishment!

Congrats great job guys!

It is difficult, for me at least, to figure out the races. I watched hours of on line streaming, in fast mode and only saw two races. Emma and Aaron small in the double.
Waiting for more updates

Hey All!

Due to schedule changes related to whether my B Final was pushed to late yesterday evening after my 200 heats and semis. In the 200 I did not make it out of the SF due to an unlucky seed; my time beat 4 B Final qualifiers but since it was purely based on placing I did not advance. In my 1000 B Final I place 7th which is an overall placing of 16th U23 in the world, 2nd 2002, I did not achieve the time I wanted but overall the water that evening was much slower in addition to a long day at the course. Thank you so much for all your support and I am so stoked for next year, I still have 4 more years to compete in the U23 division!

I am done with racing although Elena still has the MX K2 500.

Thank you so much for all your support, it means the world!

Great job Jonas,

I'm sure it was a great experience, not only bring there but also getting there and going back. It's not the goal but the process that's most rewarding. The next 4 years, I'm sure will be a huge difference, Just looking back for instance at the last 4. Competing at 22 verses18 will be huge as well. Stay healthy.

We're all proud and inspired by you and the whole team.

Thank you,
:Dennis

Fast forward to 4:28:15. Heckuva race! After watching them paddle in the harbor all last year- pretty stinking cool. Especially as they are both such good role models for the youngsters (my kids).

Meal ceremony starts at 5:00:00
