Results of the First Wednesday Nighter!!!

We all blew a Lung!! Lots of Red faces, due I dare say oxygen deprivation. I think that might have been the most boats for the first Wednesday nighter. Actually saw a swimmer during pre-race (okay it wasn't planned I don't think) it was so nice. Had a paddler from Yakima in his new Stellar, another Simon sighting (which is good), Larry B was paddling around the wrong way on the course. Some noticeable power erg-ers missing from the lake, probably waiting for fair weather so they can wear there extra small wet suit to make all that winter training LOOK like it paid off……

Great to see all the ladies out in the double HPK, single HPK's and the OC's and Canoe's!!

David S. was in his canoe, so no reported damage or HPK impaled on any pilings….

Overall….A great start!! March 23rd Jetty Island Race, April (Lake Whatcom Classic), May 1st (Dirty Dan Harris/Canadian Clash).

Cheers, Peter

The Whatcom Classic is May 7 and hoping to see more SUP in 2011.

The erg-paddlers took a vote and decided to skip the first Wednesday nighter. Shaun and I heard that the water was still wet, so were holding out for drier conditions. Besides, Wheel of Fortune comes on at 6:30 and we didn't dare miss watching that.

Water is no substitute for erg-paddling. It's close, but just not the same.
