The 39th Bainbridge Island Marathon took place Saturday morning. The immortal Greg Barton beat his own personal best time and claimed the victory. The Storb’s 4x finished not far behind and fairly-new-to-surfski paddler Ivan Medvedev was well under 4 hours, finishing third overall. Everyone who raced was amazing. There was an impressive amount of perseverance and fortitude demonstrated down to the last finisher.
Paul Clement gets top honors for driving the furthest to not race thanks the the mess that is the WA St ferry system.
Big thanks to Shane Baker, Greg Spooner, Michael Lampi and Amber Z for all the help!

Thank you, Denise! No drone: someone cleverly placed a bridge in just the right place for those aerial shots. Still, I had to dodge the traffic in order to get shots from either side.
