• Gorge Downwind Championships Surfski/OC/SUP - As of 2020 if there are any significant complaints to be made about this week long event, the one that might be most substantial would be that the race has gotten so wildly popular that it is increasingly difficult to obtain a slot if you do not have one of the celebrity reservations. This race now fills up within hours after registration opens 7 monthes before the race!

Surfski/OC/SUP - 3 race series traditionally starting in May and leading up to Gorge Championships. Started in 2019, these gained in popularity their first few years but have changed management to the Gorge Canoe Club - read below.

Gorge Canoe Club Events (Vortex Race Series manager as of 2023) (facebook) The canoe club is now sponsoring their own Spring races and it is not clear whether any Vortex Races will happen again. The club as of 2025 is not great at providing pre-race information very far in advance of these races. Check the Gorge Small Boats Paddlers Group on Facebook - scroll down a bit to see race calendar which should/may include dates for Gorge Canoe Club races or Vortex races if they have been scheduled. (In 2025 the club has a race scheduled June 29 and one scheduled August 10)

traditionally run by JD Davies along with the Gorge OC6 race. On hold since 2016. JD says he's bringing it back in/after 2025 now that he's retired, but the current word is that these will be lower key races with no publicity and just by invitation mostly for locals.
