OK, so the rest of the world thinks we're dumb for always paddling up wind to get a little down hill ride, and not just always going down wind. Today while chasing D.J. and Kim into a 15 to 20 K breeze , it came to me. Using extra chair lift parts and towers (which we have plenty) I'm gonna throw in three towers, and run a tow from marine to the tree at post point. Electric drive ,turned on like the softball lights at civic, to heck with the enviro BS, like in the old days we'll just getter done. So during that one hour lunch, twenty laps, instead of four. The copter is standing by. Duncan

I'll bring my chain-saw and machete' for the brush.
All the times I've pounded myself to bits going upwind to find that I'm too tired to catch rides down. I guess it's better than grinding out a 14 mile run in the dead flat.
There is a narrow zone of conditions where doing a trailer upwind works. But it's hard to guess that zone right. If it isn't blowing enough the logistics aren't worth it. If it's too windy it's not safe. Somebody needs to be our crash-test dummy that we send out ahead.
Maybe we are all crash test dummies.

I like it. We could attach a couple of old eagle nests to the top of the towers (bird condos) to assuage the extremest environmentalists. Larry B

Like riding the T-bar, I have visions of being dragged upwind towing my ski behind me by my body leash while trying to keep the blade held above the breaking waves with eelgrass stuck between my teeth smiling at getting in a few extra runs.
